Key Outcomes
Oratos Consult was engaged by a construction engineering company, a key player in facility management (FM) services, to conduct a comprehensive due diligence assessment for their contract with a client in Victoria. Our role was to support the FM mobilisation process across a large, complex site encompassing over 12,000 assets, all while adhering to very tight delivery timelines. The collaboration focused on critical production plant, internal and external building fabric, furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FFE), building technology, and hard technical services.
Overview
The project encompassed a thorough assessment of more than 12,000 assets within a condensed timeframe to meet contract mobilisation requirements. Through a meticulous approach, Oratos Consult and the client aimed to validate assets, assess their condition, analyse the operating environment, and identify maintenance risks to ensure a seamless transition and operational excellence.
The Challenge
The team encountered several challenges throughout the project, including the absence of existing contractor registers, difficulties in identifying and labelling services, safety protocols at critical production sites, and limited availability of documentation. These hurdles hindered effective asset assessment and maintenance compliance, necessitating innovative solutions for successful project delivery.
